Hair Gel and Jellies- Which is best?

Hello World!

I know our next big conversation will be on peppermint oil, but I need to share this with you. I was trying to style my hair this morning for work and decided to apply a new hair gel, which for now will remain nameless, because I want to give it a fair trial before I throw it in the Mississippi River. Currently, my hair looks a little like a angry fluffy mushroom, which I hate. Now it could be a combination of the weather, the twist out I tried the night before which would not dry and this fan I have blowing on me because I am tired of my neck being moist. I looked at a post on Youtube about the differences between all the Eco Styler Gels and now I'm very interested in purchasing the whole line so that I can see for myself what it does for my hair. In this area, I am only able to find the crystal clear, hold of 10 and the olive oil, hold of 10. Now I don't mind my hair being able to with stand gale force winds, but sometimes I like my hair to move a bit when I turn my head, without whipping it back and forth, ala little Willow Smith, (a natural cutie!)

Are you able to purchase this gel locally? If so, where? How much? And how do you like it? It would also be helpful if you could tell me your hair type. I really don't know mine as of yet, but I am told that this information is very important in regards to product. If you have any pictures, I'd like to see those as well. I have some friends here who are starting their journey and it is more difficult then I thought to assist them. One is transitioning, and I want to cut her relaxed ends off, but she is holding on to them as if there is the cure to something in them. One is almost all the way natural, but her hair won't do ANYTHING! I have tried my best techniques and it laughs at me. I really want to cut her hair off so she can start over again and maybe something new will come out. As always, I'll insert a picture:

Happy Hair Styling!
